How toxic is your child’s diet?

It’s hard being a perfect parent and pretty stressful too, everyone wants to have happy kids and give them a loving home environment. Sometimes with all your good intentions or whatever you try to have a content child, it just doesn’t seem to work.  It may be nothing you’ve said making them grumpy; it may be linked to their diet and the food that they are eating.
Every parent believes they do the best for their child’s health. They go to great lengths to buy cookery books and create lovely inspiring recipes, only to have their child reject their efforts with the words, “I don’t like It”, “can you take so and so off my plate”! Mums  often want to scream and wonder why they ever bothered trying to introduce tomatoes or mushrooms! This is not just a problem with school age children it often starts at the toddler stage when new tastes are being introduced.

When a parent asks,”how do I get my toddler to eat vegetables”? Or “my son used to eat everything as a baby but has become very fussy and now will only eat i.e. cereal, pasta, crisps and one or two other foods. What can I do to get him to eat a healthy varied diet, including fruit and veggies”? I empathize as hear this frequently. It becomes apparent that the reason why a youngster is not eating well; is not necessarily to do with the taste of the food. This is a shock for many parents, they are sadly unaware there is something going on in their child’s emotional life or after further questioning will discover another valid reason for them not eating or exercising.
